Club America almost landed a Mexican MLS star, but the luxuries he asked for were worth a fortune

According to information from TV Azteca, Carlos Vela was in talks to join Club America, a team that was willing to receive him, however, the signing was not successful because Vela was asking to move from Los Angeles California to Mexico City, in addition to his salary of 6 million dollars a year, a luxury home and a latest model car, which is why the board of the Azulcremas decided not to sign him.  

However, in the end, Club America did get a Mexican player from MLS: Jonathan dos Santos, a player who in the end left much to be desired by the Azulcrema fans.
