Lionel Messi is making an unexpected impact at Inter Miami. His arrival is giving the league and the club exposure like they never imagined, and that, in turn, translates into million-dollar financial gains. In fact, Adidas had to communicate that they cannot meet the demand for shirts and those who reserve now will only be able to have their order in October.

Now, one of the great pending of the institution to be at the height of 10 is his stadium: the DRV PNK Stadium. This venue has a capacity for just 18,000 fans. Aware of them, the franchise added a temporary elbow in one of the corners, but it is still not enough and they are already accelerating to start the construction of a new house that will be called Miami Freedom Park & Soccer Village. This will be able to accommodate 25,000 spectators and will have top-level technology.

Despite the great enthusiasm, the project will only be finished in 2025. Messi will still be at the club by then, but during his first year and a half as a player for Las Garzas he will have to settle for playing the games in Fort Lauderdale. However, at Inter Miami they are working to continue making modifications to the DRV PNK Stadium until they have their mega venue.

How much will the new Inter Miami stadium cost?

It is estimated that the Miami Freedom Park & Soccer Village will require an investment of around one billion dollars, although economics will not be a problem, especially taking into account the millionaire income that the club is generating with the presence of Messi. Along the same lines, the Miami City Commission gave the green light with a 4-1 vote, as did the citizens, who had 60% approval.
