FC Barcelona lost 2 to 3 against América from Mexico in the friendly match. The team led by Xavi Hernández traveled to the United States to play the match that would provide them with 5 million euros, but the Cotton Bowl wanted to see a soccer recital beyond what the match generated in terms of numbers. The truth is that they saw 45 minutes of good football, until the changes in the second half.

While Frenkie de Jong and Marc Casadó controlled Barça's game, the second half without them became an ordeal. Not only did Oriol Romeu, with poor dynamics, and Pau Prim, who had little experience, enter, but the other youth players were also replaced and with it the chances of Barça winning.

At 50' Quiñones tied, again, after a mistake by Cubarsí in defense and at 82 Martín appeared to make it 2 to 3 definitively, leaving a bitter end to the year for the Barça team and incredible for all the culés.

The decision:

Barcelona are not happy with Xavi Hernandez and his performance, however, they will not fire him before the end of the season. Xavi Hernandez will remain the coach unless a tragedy happens.
