The Brazilian team is back in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. At the moment, they're winning 1-0 against Colombia, in a game which is one of the most anticipated by the local press, mainly due to the great moment the Colombian team is going through, with 15 games of unbeaten record, in matches that have been going on since before the 2022 World Cup.
Gabriel Martinelli scored the first Brazilian goal, in a great play and a great pass from Alisson, the Liverpool goalkeeper. Now, however, something happened that is even more important than the goal scored by the Brazilians… Vinicius Jr was injured, the Real Madrid player was substituted in the first half with Brazil due to discomfort in his left thigh. Former Real Madrid footballer Guti commented on the injury: "When you touch your thigh... it's because you've broken it."
It is still too early to determine the extent of Vinicius Jr's injury, however, it does not look good. Real Madrid are already paying attention to the medical examinations that will be carried out on the player in Brazil, to determine how long he will be away and whether he will immediately return to Spain or not.
