Real Madrid is having a difficult start to the season, but not in terms of results. The club is performing and is in second place in LaLiga, as well as in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League. However, more and more players are injured, to the point that the club must make an important decision in the current season.
Carlo Ancelotti, the strategist in charge of Real Madrid, spoke to the press before the exciting last game of the season, in which his team will face Alavés in Vitoria this Thursday. However, the most notable news of the press conference was his announcement about the imminent signing of the white team in the next January market, due to David Alaba's recent injury.
The Italian coach confirmed that, after the loss of Alaba, Real Madrid is actively evaluating the possibility of reinforcing its squad with a new centre-back. Although he did not provide specific details about the profile of the player they are looking for, he made it clear that they are in talks with the club to make the best possible decision.
"I'm not saying no, we have spoken with the club, we will evaluate it in these days, there is time," declared Ancelotti. "The market in January does not end until the 31st of that month, we are going to look for the best possible solution. For now, we are in no hurry. We are going to finish the year well and then there is time to make the best possible decision."
