Alejandro Garnacho is one of the great talents of Manchester United and European football, but he lives difficult days at Old Trafford. The 19-year-old winger closed last season in fantastic fashion with an extensive renewal until 2028 and his long-awaited debut with the senior in the Argentine National Team, but since then the Red Devils had a series of questionable attitudes against him.
First of all, they did not assign him the number 7, a number that Garna longed for to continue the legacy of his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo. The controversial thing about the fact that they did not give it to him was not the fact itself, but the aggravating circumstance was that they gave it to Mason Mount, a newcomer from Chelsea who has no history at all with the Red Devils.
To this was added that the club bought Rasmus Højlund, a young Norwegian striker who came from Atalanta in exchange for 75 million euros. That reinforcement, taking into account that the United forward already had Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony, would see Alejandro be relegated to the substitute bench, but this Saturday he responded to Erik Ten Hag on the pitch.
The Argentine started the penultimate pre-season friendly before the start of the Premier League and sent a clear message to Ten Hag: he will not accept going to the bank so easily. Garnacho shone in the 3-1 win and even assisted Antony before leaving replaced in the plug-in. However, the 68 minutes that he was on the field were enough for him to be chosen as the figure of the match. Now, the DT will have a major headache when putting together the eleven.
