Lionel Messi had a difficult time this week, as Inter Miami was eliminated from the Major League Soccer playoffs and their season ended. Now, the Argentinian will not play with Inter Miami again for at least four months, at least referring to an official match.

As you may have already found out, this week the domestic leagues of each country are on break, since the FIFA break has already arrived for the different qualifiers in each region. In Europe, the qualifiers for EURO 2024 will be played, however, in CONMEBOL, South American countries will fight to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

However, the presence of Lionel Messi is a mystery. His coach, Scaloni, has revealed that it will depend a lot on how the number 10 feels to take him into account or not among the starting 11 for the match against Paraguay: “The first decision is to see how he feels. Second, we have another game in four days. He can play 80 minutes and nothing with Peru, or he can play both 90 minutes and be fine. It's not that easy. If it's available, you know what I think."

Argentina plays against Paraguay this Thursday, October 12, and on Monday, the 16th of the same month, they will play against Peru. Argentina seeks to win both games to stand with 12 points. Brazil right now has six points, who will try to win in the same way to remain the absolute leaders of the group.
