The unexpected club where former DC United champion Freddy Adu returned to soccer

The return to football of the Ghanaian-born American player surprised everyone in MLS and the USL. It has been more than 2 years since Adu played an official match for a professional club. Now Adu will play for the Osterlen FF club in the third division of Swedish football. Adu had been working as a coach in Maryland.

Freddy Adu has been known to be MLS champion with DC United in the 2003/2004 season. Since then, his career in MLS has been very good and gave him the opportunity to play in Europe. The Swedish team Osterlen will have an experienced player on their team who will help them achieve the goal of promotion to a higher category.
