Lionel Messi completed a stunning move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month from FC  Barcelona. The Argentine footballer has lived and called Spanish city Barcelona home for the past 21 years. With his move to Paris, the 6-time Ballon d'Or winner would have to start looking for new accommodation.

His former teammate and pal, Neymar, made the same journey in 2017 when he moved from Barcelona to PSG. After a few months staying in a luxury hotel in the French capital, the Brazilian moved into a luxurious 5-storey mansion that's just 10 miles away from the Parc des Princes. Neymar's mansion sits on 10,800 square feet of land of which a square-shaped garden occupies 5,000 square feet of the land.

Neymar's house is located in the western Paris suburb of Bougival and was once an architect's house built in the 1950s. The house has a sprawling indoor swimming pool, a sauna, a Turkish bath and several large game rooms. Former occupants of the 5-storey mansion are said to be popular French actor, Gerard Depardieu and former PSG star, Ronaldinho. Neymar doesn't own the mansion though, as he pays a monthly rent of £12,800.

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is said to have stayed at 5-star Le Royal Monceau hotel,  when he arrived in Paris earlier this month. However, the 6-time Ballon d'Or winner and his family are expected to move into a 6-bedroom apartment in the 16th arrondissement that Messi bought earlier in 2016. Messi is said to have paid €8m for the apartment in 2016.

Lionel Messi's apartment is situated in the South of Kensington, Paris and has Lenny Kravitz as a next-door neighbour. The situation overlooks the Avenue Victor Hugo, with numerous embassies surrounding it. Though, Messi might be willing to move to the more northern Neuilly suburb where former President Nicholas Sarkozy lives with his super-model wife, Carla Bruni.
