MLS 2022 schedule: when does the next season start?

Even though the 2021 tournament has just ended, the MLS 2022 schedule has been released and it is already known when the next tournament will begin.

When does the next season start?

The next MLS regular season will kick off on February 26th at noon. 

Unlike other seasons, the tournament will start this month due to the reorganization of dates for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022. 

The grand finale of the tournament is expected to take place on November 5, 2022, so that the players have time to concentrate with their respective national teams for the next World Cup. 

The tournament format will be the same as always. All teams will play 34 games (17 home and 17 away). As in the recently concluded tournament, seven teams from each conference will qualify.

The first-place team will advance directly to the conference semifinals.
