Will Emilio Azcárraga fire Santiago Baños after Club América’s match against Santos Laguna?

It’s clear that Club América is going through a crisis like they’ve never had before. Not only haven’t they won a single game in Clausura 2022, but they also are standing at the bottom of Liga MX table, as Santiago Solari hasn’t been able to establish a solid plan.

Although both the players and Solari are to blame for the recent performances, there’s another person that Las Águilas followers are asking to get fired from Club América, as Santiago Baños hasn’t done anything to improve the roster, as he couldn’t close the deals with the players Solari requested.

Since arriving in Club América in 2018, Las Águilas haven’t won anything, but Emilio Azcárraga has decided to back him up despite the lack of results he’s given to América and their followers, as they were runner-up in Apertura 2019 and then in CONCACAF Champions League in 2021.

Will Baños finally leave Club América?

Although Emilio Azcárraga had a talk with Santiago Solari and the players, Baños wasn’t part of the scolding, which is why, if the bad results keep coming, Solari will be the first one to leave El Nido. Rumors suggest that Baños has his place guaranteed in Club América as Azcárraga usually does business with his sister, a successful businesswoman.
