Mexican striker Javier Hernandez has set off alarm bells by stating that if he returns to Liga MX it would be at the same salary he currently receives in MLS with LA Galaxy. That is, an annual payment of 6 million dollars. An outlandish but necessary figure if Chivas seeks to acquire the player.

However, it turns out that Chicharito has already offered himself to another team that he also holds dear, but this time for free. In a press conference prior to the MLS All-Star Game, Hernandez stated that if they call him, he would even go for free.

The Mexican's words in front of the media were allusive to Manchester United: "In those situations, I know the narratives and obviously, many of you know about my past and with those things comes Manchester United, of course I would play for free," he said.

Until when is Chicharito under contract with the LA Galaxy?

Hernandez is under contract with the MLS team until December 2022. After that, the player could leave as a free agent to any team that can satisfy his needs. In Mexico, Europe or in MLS itself.
