Tigres had been the best team in the Liga MX until Matchday 4. The team had earned seven points out of a possible nine and was emerging as the favorite to win the title this season. However, the last two weeks have left some doubts and now they have lost the lead. The team already has all its reinforcements, but had to cut striker Florian Thauvin in order to sign him.

Florian Thauvin arrived at Tigres in 2021 as the Liga MX's bomb signing. The striker was a World Cup champion with France and was expected to be the next great striker for the team from Monterrey. However, a year later, the striker was never able to shine and now his contract has been terminated. The striker did not take a week to find a new team and is close to signing with a European team.

Tigres will now seek to get back on track when they visit Cruz Azul on matchday 5. Fortunately for this team, they will be able to count on their three reinforcements, Fernando Gorriarán, Nicolás Ibáñez and Diego Lainez. For his part, French striker Thauvin will be undergoing medical tests in Europe to sign with his new team and thus try to recover the level that once made him worth 17 million euros.

Where Thauvin will play?

The French striker had experience in different European teams.  After his time in France, Tigres signed him, but ended up failing. Now, according to Gianluca Di Marzio of SkySports, Thauvin has already signed a new contract with Udinese in Italy. It will be a matter of time before his signing is announced.
