Boxer Saul Alvarez is considered the best boxer that Mexico currently has in the discipline. Therefore, his fight in Mexico would not go unnoticed at all and they are looking for a venue that is the most suitable for an event that would be unique and will mark the return of the best Mexican boxer in recent years.

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez has surprised the sports world with his possible fight at the Akron Stadium. According to the portal Mediotiempo, the Mexican fighter could return to Jalisco after 12 years of absence. In addition, ESPN KNOCKOUT affirms that the Chivas' home venue is being imposed over the Plaza de Toros and the Jalisco Stadium.

The fight would be the following May 6 against Ryan Rhodes and it seems that the fight will have great economic remunerations for both boxers. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Mexican boxer earns around 65 million dollars per fight, something that if compared to the Chivas players, leaves a big difference.

The player who earns the most at Chivas is Alexis Vega, with a salary of 1.03 million dollars. In other words, 'Canelo' would earn 64 times more in a fight than what the red and white player would earn for a year. If compared to the fortune of Vega's new contract, it would be around 11 times more, total madness!

Is Canelo Alvarez an Atlas fan?

While Saúl Álvarez made his love for Chivas clear, he took a radical and unforgivable turn for several old-school Mexican fans: switching teams to the fierce rival. So the Atlas fan could be consecrated in 2023 at the home of the red-and-black team's biggest rival.
