Morgan Weaver of the Portland Thorns FC and Morgan Gautrat of the Chicago Red Stars were added to the U.S. Women's Soccer Team's January training camp lineup

Along with their addition, NJ/NY Gotham FC defender Imani Dorsey was also reported out due to injury

The players were called into the January camp to prepare for their commitments this year, which begin with the SheBelieves Cup, a friendly tournament that will help them get into a competitive rhythm.

The full list of January training camp members was released a few days ago, but today the new additions were revealed.

Arrival of Gautrat and Weaver gives coach a roster of 26 players

With the arrival of Gautrat and Weaver, USWNT head coach Vladko Andonovsky has a total of 26 players at his disposal with whom he can try out different game schemes for his upcoming matches

Morgan Gautrat comes to the Stars and Stripes after having a dream season in the NWSL with the Chicago Red Stars, but this is not the first time the player will be with the U.S. National Team.

The experienced player was part of the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup winning teams and was also on the 2016 Olympic team.

But at the time she was using her maiden name, Brian. She made her debut at the age of 20 in 2013, and has a record that would be the envy of any professional soccer player, as he has managed to play 87 games, scoring eight goals in the process.

Prior to this camp, his last training camp with the USWNT was in November 2020 in Denver, Colorado.

On the other hand Morgan Weaver at 24 years of age goes with a quite considerable record of goals.

She has been fielded in the USWNT on 2 occasions just as the Stars and Stripes made their most recent trip to Australia, on November 27 and 30.

In those matches she came off the bench to help her team to a win and a draw in Sydney and Newcastle respectively against the Australian team.

This will be her second cap for the U.S. women's team and everyone has their eyes on her.

Below is the complete roster for the USWNT's January training camp.
