While Lionel Messi defines his professional future, Barcelona received a distinction for the Camp Nou. It was rated as the best stadium in the world, according to a study by the British site Compare.bet. Manchester United's Old Trafford and the legendary Wembley complete the podium of a top-15 that doesn't have Argentine facilities.

How did they get the calculation? Through a point system based on eight indexes (capacity, average attendance, reviews, tour prices, accessibility, tags on Instagram, global search volumes and views of TikTok hashtags), of which the Catalan team obtained the maximum score in four.

The Camp Nou scored 71 points in a table in which the United Kingdom is home to five of the 15 best football stadiums in the world. What is striking is that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which was recently released and is considered the latest generation - it cost around 1,200 million euros - occupies eleventh place in the standings.

Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium followed in second place with 69 points. The Red Devils' highest scoring metric was global search volume (93 points and 97,000 global searches), while the legendary Wembley Stadium finished in the top three with a 63 rating. London's countryside scored the top 100 points for accessibility, due to the fact that the site has 607 handicap-accessible features.

Here is the classification of the study:

1. Camp Nou (FC Barcelona), 71 points.

2. Old Trafford (Manchester United), 69 points.

3. Wembley (England), 63 points

4. Allianz Arena (Bayern Munich), 63 points.

5. Anfield (Liverpool), 61 points.

6. Signal Iduma Park (Borussia Dortmund), 55 points.

7. San Siro (Milan / Inter Milan), 54 points.

8. Santiago Bernabéu (Real Madrid), 52 points.

9. Maracanã (Flamengo / Fluminense), 48 points.

10. Azteca Stadium (Cruz Azul / Club América), 40 points.
