On Sunday, the news surprised the whole world: twelve of the most important clubs in Europe decided to break all kinds of ties with UEFA and created the Super League, a tournament that grants more money to participants and will be financed by the bank American JP Morgan. And this Monday, UEFA's response was immediate: "the players who play this tournament will be disqualified from playing at the FIFA level with their countries".

Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, has been resounding about the creation of the Super League. "Qualification for European competitions must be on merit and that everyone can compete against everyone. I cannot help but show my rejection of the move made. We are all against this move".

The warning is clear and resounding by the maximum president of European football: "All those footballers who play in that competition will not be able to do so with their national team. All the confederations agree with that".

"Ninety percent of UEFA's money goes back to football and not only to the elite. UEFA doesn't move only for money. It develops football. The Super League is not like that. It is only business. It only interests the pockets and not solidarity. The values of football are different. We are not going to allow it", he said.

Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo miss the World Cup in Qatar?

Barcelona and Juventus, clubs where Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo play, make up the list of clubs that created the European Super League. For this reason, if it is confirmed that they are going to play this competition, they could not play with Argentina and Portugal in the qualifying qualifiers for the Qatar World Cup. Scandal!
