FC Porto beat Gil Vicente 2-0 at the Ciudad de Barcelos Stadium and got a very important result to keep alive its chances of retaining the crown and winning the Primeira Liga, as the team from the north occupies the second position on the table, ten points behind rivals Sporting CP.

Nonetheless, the victory was not complete as the team coached by former Portuguese star Sergio Conceição suffered a serious hit when José 'Tecatito' Corona had to leave the field after a very hard stroke on his head which got him unconscious for some minutes before he confirmed he was okay.

"He could not come back to the field because of the trauma. He could not see anything or get up by his own means", explained coach Conceição after the game. Luckily, today the Portuguese team gave more information about the situation stating that "Corona will need to rest and treatment after an haematoma close to his right eye".
