Lionel Messi has left an indelible mark in FC Barcelona. The Argentinian arrived to the Catalan side more than 20 years ago and wrote history gaining all the titles possible, some impressive personals records and playing the best soccer in the world. His legacy in soccer is as big as the one Pelé, Diego Maradona or Cristiano Ronaldo left.

But at his 33 years old, it isn’t crazy to think that Messi will be leaving Barcelona, as his relationship with the club has turned bad. And it isn’t crazy to think either that the attacker that one day arrived to the club will be leaving professional soccer one day.

That is the reason why Barça have already started to look to whom could be Messi’s successor. Despite many names passed during the last years, there is now one that could be in fact the new Messi. We are talking about Ansu Fati, the forward aged 18 that plays for Spain national team and that was also formed in La Masía and has Barcelona DNA.

Ansu Fati was picked as the best player born from 2001 or later, according to the specialists from L’Equipe. The French media chose him and completed the podium with Eduardo Camavinga and Ryan Gravenberch. The other Barcelona player between the top-10 is Pedri González.
