Ronaldo Nazario: the millionaire business that he lost in a couple of hours

Ronaldo Nazario announced his retirement from professional soccer on February 2011. He was then playing for Corinthians, when he considered it was time to put an end. As a striker he shone in some of the best clubs of the world, as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter or AC Milan, and, of course, in Brazil national team.

The iconic player from the 2000s, who won two World Cups, stayed lined to the soccer world after retirement. Even though it is many times hard for players to find how to relocate at that age, he could do it to transform into a businessman. After being the shareholder of Fort Lauderdale, he become the owner and president of Real Valladolid Spanish side.

This season was a very special one, as his team is competing in LaLiga, the best division in Spain, aside teams as Barcelona or Real Madrid. But things aren’t going as expected for Ronaldo, who spent a fortune to make a competitive team and is now suffering a bad moment.

Valladolid lost against Deportivo Alavés this Friday and now occupies the 17th position after earning 20 points in 22 weeks played. Soon they could enter to the relegation zone, composed by three teams, that now is Osasuna, Elche CF and SD Huesca. Relegation could mean the loose of a millionaire business in a couple of minutes, as what he could gain in the Second Division is much less.
