February 26 is not another day in the life of Lionel Messi. It's that a day like today, but 33 years ago, he was born in Rosario Antonela, who is the woman who accompanies him at all times. In that sense, the Barcelona player dedicated him a very tender post of just six words: "Enjoy your day Anto, I send you a huge hug". Now, what is known about the woman from La Pulga?

The story between La Pulga and Antonella originates in Rosario, there in 1996, when they were both children. El Diez played in the Lower Newell’s with Lucas Scaglia, her cousin, and a friend of his, so they met there. Messi's departure to Barcelona (2004) separated them for a period of time, but for personal reasons, four years later, the footballer had to return to the city and from that moment they did not separate again.

However, the relationship between the two remained out of public reach for a long period of time, until in 2009 the crack confirmed that he was in a relationship. The truth is that on this special date, Lionel Messi did not want to ignore the birthday of his wife and left a nice message on his social networks.

Antonela went to university in Argentina, studying dentistry before switching to social communication, and afterwards she moved to Barcelona to live with Messi. It is not clear if she has continued studying the degree or has focused on the education of her three children: Thiago, Mateo and Ciro.

Generally speaking, Antonela has stayed out of the spotlight, so much so that she privatized her Instagram profile after reaching nearly four million followers. She then she reopened it and already has more than 12 million. The young woman is also a friend of Sofía Balbi - Luis Suárez's partner - and Daniella Semaan - Cesc Fàbregas' partner.

Ronald Koeman's message to support Messi

The Dutch Ronald Koeman stressed that you should not always demand everything from Lionel Messi and less from his teammates, taking as a reference that the Argentine star has 18 goals in the current Spanish League and the rest of the team almost the same number. “Leo has 18 goals, the others have more or less the same number together. Nor should we always demand Messi, he needs help from others”, Koeman said at the press conference prior to the game that Barcelona will play this Saturday as a visitor to Seville.
