In the middle of a very devastating 2020 for LA Galaxy the team has had an outstanding star in MLS. It is Argentina's winger Cristian Pavón, who played on loan for the last 18 months. Despite the agreement has expired, he wants to be back where in the white and blue shirt as soon as possible. Let us have a look at his chances.

After the loan expired in December 31, 2020 the wing striker had to return to his club Boca Juniors in Argentina. He did enjoy his spell in MLS and it's definitely desperate to return. When the loan agreement was signed for 2019-2020 season, a $20 million buyout clause was set. After the critical situation the world has been in during last year it turns impossible for LA Galaxy to pay such figure.

Both the club and the player wanted to remain together, so they started negotiations with Boca juniors for another price. In the meantime, the 25-year-old decided to have a surgery in his ankle, which he was meeting for a long time. He will need two months to recover. He has barely joined Boca Juniors’ training sessions given he is decided to leave.

Recently, LA Galaxy had submitted a $10 million offer for 50% of Pavón’s rights, which was allegedly not answered by the club. The relationship between Boca Juniors and the player seems to be over. Even his father complained on TV about the bad treatment his son got from the Argentinian giants. Could he be back for MLS next season start?
