Everything  suggests that Lionel Messi is getting closer to leaving Barcelona. There has been rumors for a long time that his future could be in Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain. However, according to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola's English team will stop fighting for the Argentinian star.

However, at Manchester they assume that Sergio Agüero won't continue at the club, and that's why the Spanish coach, who managed Lionel Messi between 2007 and 2008, is already looking after a striker... Clearly, he wants a top level soccer player to compete with Gabriel Jesús for a position.

The British media also revealed that there were already conversations between Manchester City and the current Tottenham player Harry Cane... But, which would be the happy figure for José Mourinho's Spurs? €160 million. How much does that represent in USD? Well, as per current exchange rates we’d be talking about some $193 million.

So far, the most expensive transfer in Manchester City history is Kevin De Bruyne, who arrived for 2015-16 season after signing from German Bundesliga’s Wolfsburg: €80 million ($92 million). After confirming that signing Lionel Messi is practically impossible, City will charge against Tottenham to stay with Kane.

In addition, the English attacker who has been the top-scorer from the side during the past years at Premier League, would be looking to take the definitive step in his career and go to a powerfull team which competes to win the UEFA Champions League... The same as Lionel Messi.
