Liga MX: Cruz Azul fans waited for a former Real Madrid star but ended up frustrated

Recently, Club America signed Alvaro Fidalgo from Real Madrid, after Santiago Solari asked for him. Cruz Azul wanted to keep up with their rivals and went for another player who had featured for the Casa Blanca and even scored some goals, but the player did not accept the offer from Liga MX and will continue his career somewhere else.

Marca informed that the Máquina Cementera had made him an interesting offer to play under Juan Reynoso, and he considered it. But finally, he decided that money was not the most important thing but playing in a place he already knows, because his career had some crazy twists in the past.

And that player is Jesé Rodríguez. He played 63 matches for Real Madrid and scored 13 goals. He was considered the new Cristiano Ronaldo, but a serious injury and his love for parties ruined his career. He joined Paris Saint-Germain but the French club sacked him some months ago. And he chose Las Palmas to start over.

Jesé also rejected offers from Denmark, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Cruz Azul fans hoped him to help them to win Liga MX for the first time after 1997, but that will not happen. Still, the team managed by Reynoso is a serious contender to win the title, so they hope they are not missing out.
