Real Madrid could copy Martin Luther King and say out loud “I have a dream”, except for the fact that the club has two dreams. One of them is Kylian Mbappé, the PSG star that is now chased by lots of clubs in Europe. Apart from him, there is a plane ticket from Dortmund to Madrid booked for Erling Haaland.

There is, in first, a big reason: price. Erling Haaland is nowhere near cheap, and he will not be a free agent for at least two years. But the Norwegian’s price in the transfer market is $133 million according to Transfermarkt. But if they had to choose the Frenchman, the investment would be substantially higher.

Kylian Mbappé has been the man of the week after his hat-trick against Barcelona playing the UEFA Champions League round of 16 on Tuesday. But given his extraordinary performance, his transfer market price has raised: it is officially fixed in €180 million ($218 million), but now PSG could ask for €200 million ($242 million).

Then, Haaland is the name: what to do then? Get rid of some players. According to BeSoccer.com, Mariano Díaz and Luka Joviccould be included in the deal to reduce the price. Should they be valued their current transfer price, Real Madrid would save some $36 million plus the players contracts. Will that allow Haaland to switch from black and yellow to white?
