Cristiano Ronaldo has not only been one of the best soccer players of the last years, but also of soccer history. The Portuguese can be compared with no problem to top legends, as Lionel Messi, Diego Armando Maradona or Pele. He achieved some all-time marks and gained to many trophies, that he has gained a place among those idols.

But Cristiano is already 35 years old and there are concrete possibilities on him announcing his retirement soon. Even though it is something he doesn’t like to talk about, it is logic to think that such a moment will arrive one day. Nowadays the careers of soccer players last more, thanks to the advancement of technology and the treatments existing on players.

Nevertheless, it is hard to find in a competitive level player with more than 35 years and impossible to find someone older than 40. When asked about his retirement, CR7 said that he is going through a good moment right now and that is something he is not thinking for now, as he likes to focalize on the present and not on the future.

Cristiano gained many titles during his career, as five Champions League, three Premier League, five Ballon D’Or and more. It is hard to think that he could move to a non-competitive league, because of how much he likes to be at a top level every time he performs.

The past and the future

Cristiano was formed as a soccer player in Sporting CP Portuguese side. He played in his first big European club in 2003, when he moved to Manchester United. Six years later he passed to Real Madrid and just three years ago he joined Juventus. In the Italian side he has a contract signed until June 2022, another reason that puts him near to retirement.
