Soccer has two huge icons in Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Their fierce but equally respectful rivalry have eclipsed the sport during almost the last 15 years. Both the Argentinian and the Portuguese are living legends with the ball, but they’re not having dinner alone in the greatests’ table. Roger Federer would join them for sure.

The swiss tennis player is currently recovering from some injuries while he remains expectant for a possible comeback in the Tokyo Olympics in case they are going ahead. But still, he has lots of reasons to enjoy his life. And that includes being way ahead of the two mentioned soccer personalities.

According to Forbes, 39-year-old Roger Federer, born in Basel, Switzerland, has earned $106.3 million during 2020. That puts him in a very enviable position for thousands of millions around the world. And he could easily feel better backed than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

With this reported income, Federer was ranked in 1st place of the Forbes ranking of the highest-paid athletes in last year. Cristian Ronado finished second with a reported income of $105 million, while Messi had to be in third place as the Forbes ranking states he earned $104 million.
