The future of Ronald Koeman is still very uncertain. The Dutch head coach hasn’t yet achieved the best results possible since his arrival to FC Barcelona, and it is rumored that he could be leaving soon. His contract lasts until June 2022, but his future will be defined after a new president is chosen at the Catalan side.

As well as Koeman’s future remains unknown, the one of Lionel Messi as well. The Argentine legend hasn’t confirmed that he will be staying at Barça, after the end of his contract, on June 2021. The playmaker has revealed during the last year that he wanted to leave and, with opportunities to play at Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain or the MLS, he is considering leaving.

But if Messi stays, he will undoubtedly have the possibility to say who he thinks that will be the ideal coach for Barcelona. If Koeman is fired and the clubs looks for a new manager, the opinion of their captain and best player ever will be important for sure. Some names have already appeared in the radar of the club until now.

It is said that the list of three coaches that Messi would approve at Barcelona is composed by Xavi Hernández, Erik Ten Hag and Mikel Arteta. Xavi is the favorite one so far, as he is an ex-historical player from the club, and he is currently giving his first steps as a head coach at Qatari side Al-Sadd SC.
