The enormous amount of money Quique Setién claims to Barcelona in the trial after his sacking

After having coaches like Frank Rijkaard or Pep Guardiola, FC Barcelona fans had to deal with lower bets like Gerardo Martino, Ernesto Valverde or Quique Setién. This last one was crucified after the humiliating 2-8 defeat against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals last August.

Setién was sacked immediately, and the conflicts between the players and the board started. Ronald Koeman replaced him and decided to release Luis Suárez, who moved to Atlético de Madrid. But the former coach did not stay still. On September 17 he announced he would demand the club.

Neither the club stayed in silence since they are ready to face their former employed coach on the court in a very tense trial. According to reports from Cadena Ser, Barcelona will accuse Setién of not having the proper capacity to be in the role he had until that dark evening in Lisbon, when the team was thrashed by the German side.

In his claim, Setién requested no less than €4 million ($4.8 million), which were supposed to represent his yearly wage stipulated in his contract with the club. This is going to lead to a massive scandal in media sooner than later.
