MLS is getting ready for a new season, and the big teams have their hopes completely renewed. As such, a good performance in the transfer market is as necessary as a good display on the field. Therefore, clubs like Inter Miami CF, Los Angeles Galaxy, Atlanta United and LAFC are undergoing negotiations for new players and getting rid of others.

Phil Neville was the big gossip of the week after taking over Inter Miami CF replacing former coach Diego Alonso. The club has signed Patrick Seagrist, promoted Ecuador’s Felipe Valencia from their academy, while Christian Makoun returned from his loan. Ben Sweat was transferred to MLS newcomers Austin FC, while Mikey Ambrose, AJ De La Garza, Jerome Kiesewetter, and Will Trapp were released and moved to Atlanta United, New England Revolution, Tulsa and Minesotta United respectively.

As per Bob Bradley’s boys, LAFC has gone under a massive renovation. Marco Farfán, Corey Baird and Moon-Hwam Kim were acquired, Raheem Edwards was drafted, and Alejandro Guido and Philip Ejimadu returned from their loans at San Diego Loyal, but the last one was later released. Apart from him, Andy Najar, Dejan Jakovic, Mohamed El-Munir, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Jordan Harvey were released. Jesús Murillo and Mark Segbers finished their loans.

Atlanta United has inhaled some South American air with the arrival of former Argentina’s World Cup player Gabriel Heinze as new head coach. Paraguay’s rising star Erik López was bought for almost $4 million from Olimpia, Machop Chol and Mikey Ambrose were signed as free agents. Jon Gallagher moved to Austin FC, and players like Jeff Larentowicz, Brendan Moore, Erick Torres, JJ Williams, Lawrence Wyke and Lagos Kunga were released. They will go for the MLS title again as it happened in 2018.

After taking over Los Angeles Galaxy, new coach and club's legend Greg Vanney has shaken up the squad, only two new faces are seen in the training camp: Welsh keeper Jonathan Bond arrived as a free agent and Jorge Villafaña was brought from Portland Timbers. Cristian Pavón, Carlos Harvey and Yony González ended their loans. Emiliano Insúa, Emil Cuello, Jörgen Skjelvik and Gordon Wild were released, Joe Corona was drafted by Austin FC and Rolf Feltscher left as free agent to Bundesliga II side Wurzburger Kickers. They were one of the biggest underperformers in the last MLS season.
