Mesut Ozil is planning to go to MLS but was slammed by his former managerThis manager had Mesut Ozil in his squad and talked harshly about the German star. Ozil is going through harsh times and could leave Arsenal to MLS to save his career.
Mesut Ozil is not wanted at all at Arsenal. Excluded from the squad for Premier League and Europa League, the German will be just sitting around doing nothing until June, when his contract with Gunners expires. Having one of the highest wages in the league, Ozil has been ostracized by his own club.
A lot has been said about his work ethic and commitment with the team and its tactics. In that regard, a manager who coached him talked about his experiences with the World Champion, and how he struggled to make Ozil play at the highest possible level, something that found very difficult.
Unai Emery, Arsenal coach between 2018 and 2019, said he tried his best to help Ozil, because his favorite players are the talented ones. Emery was always positive with him, but told Ozil’s levels of commitment and attitude were not good enough. Also added that he could have been the next captain, but the other players did not want to vote for him.
Ozil has not featured for Arsenal since March, while Emery is currently managing Villarreal. His stint is going way better than expected, being in the third place of Spanish League, over Real Madrid and Barcelona and only five points behind of the leader, Atlético Madrid.
