The successor of Andrés Iniesta that Lionel Messi praised and now he would go to this Premier League club

FC Barcelona is going through a huge crisis. The Catalan side debts the fortune of $800 million and is still trying to take financial measures to recover their economy. One of those who could be released in order to Barça gaining more money is Riqui Puig. The wonderkid is set to be Andrés Iniesta successor and received the compliments of Lionel Messi, but could now leave. Head coach Ronald Koeman doesn’t use him and thinks that he needs to go to a place where he can play more.

Puig was born at Matadepera and played in La Masia since a kid. In 2020, he joined the first team and since then he played 18 official matches, in which he made no goals and gave three assists. Specialists say that he has great conditions and that in the future he could be a top player.

But Barcelona has more urgent problems and selling him could be an immediate solution, as he has a reported value of $20 million. Premier League side Leeds United has him on their radar, as head coach Marcelo Bielsa thinks that he is an incredible player that could help him a lot.
