Diego Armando Maradona, one of the best soccer players in history, will turn 60 this Friday. That's why the prestigious magazine France Football interviewed him. The former soccer player said that he had been close to play in French soccer back in his playing years. He also gave some curious advice to Kylian Mbappe.

First, the Argentinean said that in 1989 he received a million-dollar offer from Olympique de Marseille. Although Maradona was interested in playing for the French team, the transfer never happened because the president of Napoli, Corrado Ferlaino, did not let him leave the Italian club.

Then, the former player of the Argentinean national team assured that Kylian Mbappe is a fantastic player, although he is still very young. He also said that the 21-year-old Frenchman has to be careful of defenders who might injure his knees. He also said that Mbappe is progressing very fast.

Finally, the 1986 World Cup champion said that his compatriot Lionel Messi and the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo are the best footballers today. On the other hand, he said that former Barcelona player Xavi Hernández and current Real Madrid player Luka Modric are the best midfielders in history.
