Belgium U21 international, Albert Sambi Lokonga, has given his new coach and other Arsenal fans a pointer as to where best to play him. Having signed from Belgian side Abnderletch Fc, in a deal worth £18m, Lokonga became the latest addition to the side led by Mikel Arteta.
The highly-rated midfielder is expected to battle it with experienced campaigners such as Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny for a midfield berth at the Emirates Stadium. Lokonga thus feels that his versatility can be a huge advantage to him and the club side.
In an interview with Arsenal Media, Lokonga was asked if he is a box-to-box midfielder or an attacking playmaker. He replied that: "I can play both. I can play both, I can play as a six and I can play like a box to box, but yeah, people say that I’m better in the six position."
The Belgian prodigy has joined his Arsenal teammates in Florida for pre-season and will hope to hit the ground running when the new season starts. He will hope to make his debut soon and add to the 69 senior appearances under his belt already from his former club, Anderlecht.
