He was the new Sergio Busquets, but now FC Barcelona is desperate to get rid of him

He was one of the last signings FC Barcelona made. He is a midfielder who was supposed to take the place of Sergio Busquets. He was signed because of his technique, vision and room for improvement he had showed at his previous club. But he is not performing well at trainings and Ronald Koeman does not trust him.

So he asked the club to find him a new club, and this player was offered to several teams. But they are not interested on having him, and according to Mundo Deportivo, Alaves is the only to make an approach, but refuses to sign him on loan. So they are losing time and money on having him.

That player is Matheus Fernandes. The Brazilian has played just 17 minutes in the whole season and FC Barcelona is getting desperate to kicking him out. After spending the second half of the last season on loan at Real Valladolid last season, the former Palmeiras player never found consistent action.

Fernandes still has a contract that will expire in 2025, so they will be regretting that deal. He does not fit the Koeman's tactics and has no place in the first team. He will be hoping for a transfer as well, because he does not want his career to be stagnated, and less at 22 years old.
