Mexico on the other hand faced the challenge of Canada in the 2nd semi-finals. In first half Mexico was lucky to be awarded a penalty in the addition time which forward Orbelín Pineda converted in first goal of the match. Canada was quick to equalize in the second half and the scored stood 1-1 by 90 minutes however, the Mexican once again scored in the addition time and when the final whistle was blown, Mexico was 2-1 goals ahead of Canada.

The finals between USA and Mexico will be played at Allegiant Stadium which is located in Paradise, Nevada, United States.
