Mexico faced of Canada in the 2nd semi-finals. In first half Mexico was lucky to be awarded a penalty in the addition time which forward Orbelín Pineda converted in first goal of the match. Canada was quick to equalize in the second half and the scored stood 1-1 by 90 minutes however, the Mexican once again scored in the addition time and when the final whistle was blown, Mexico was 2-1 goals ahead of Canada.
USMNT on the other hand was up against Qatar in the first semi-finals. Both the teams presented an excellent performance with none of the teams scoring in first half. Even in 2nd half there was no goal in first 40 minutes and when it seemed the match going in for extra time, United States’ forward substitute Gyasi Zardes who came in for Daryl Dike in 69th minute tricked the Qatar’s defense to score the only goal of the match. With the victory, USMNT became the first team to qualify for the finals of 2021 Gold Cup.
The finals between USA and Mexico will be played at Allegiant Stadium which is located in Paradise, Nevada, United States.
The Gold Cup 2021 final will be played on Sunday, August 1 at 5:30pm PT local time in the United States. That means if you are on the east coast, the Gold Cup final kicks off at 8:30pm ET on August 1. Due to time difference, in the United Kingdom, the game will be broadcast at 1:30am BST on Monday, August 2 .

The USMNT will play Mexico in the Gold Cup 2021 final. The two teams were confirmed following the conclusion of the semi-final games on Thursday, July 29 (local time). Mexico beat Canada to progress and the U.S. won against Qatar in the other semi-final.
Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada will host the Gold Cup 2021 final. Home of NFL team the Las Vegas Raiders, it has a capacity of 61,000 for soccer. The stadium is also home of the UNLV Rebels team.
