Head coach Gregg Vanney admits that hard times are coming for Toronto FC. The Canadian team has to play the remain of the season away from home, at Rentschler Field, in Connecticut. Despite this unhappy definition taken by the MLS, the Reds have reached Columbus Crew at the top of the Estearn Conference.

Vanney puts it as the popular quote: if life gives you lemons, then do lemonade. The coach think that it would be easy for them to play excuses this season, but Toronto is a great team capable of achieving success for its own. For instance, their young star Ayo Akinola is close to the top scorers of the season.

Since Toronto was defeated in week 10 by Vancouver the team had beaten New York FC, Columbus Crew and Philadelphia Union. That means that the Canadian side defeated three of the top five teams in their Conference. Tomorrow night they will face New England Revolution, which stands sixth. Another challenge coming for them.

Of course, numbers shows that the ones who should be afraid are the opposing teams. Since week 11 Toronto had outscored their rivals 10-5, with their stars Akinola, Álex Pozuelo, Jozy Altidore and Pablo Piatti in great shape. On defense, the Reds need to improve. They have granted more goals to their rivals than a non-playoffs spot team like Nashville.
